Hilda Banks Shapiro began taking piano lessons when she was 4 years old and, at 16, made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City and Symphony Hall in Boston.
Stephen received four awards during his stay in Vietnam: the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
