THE SELF-TAUGHT GARDENER: Time travel

With all the talk of red states and blue states and regional politics, we live in a time where we often view anything not connected to us as “other.” But, oddly, at least in the Eastern United States, we have been connected across the 40th parallel by a single mountain range—the Appalachians—that has served for eons as a path not just for the hikers we see along Route 7 in the Berkshires, but by the flora and fauna that have travelled this same pathway.

Courtney Maum, the acclaimed author of ‘I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You,’ has just published ‘Touch: A Novel.’ Her book launch, signing and panel conversation will take place at 2 p.m. at 9 Greenwoods Road East in Norfolk.

During the Flying Cloud Institute June session , Creators Studio students will be able to work deeply in such disciplines as robotics, engineering, coding, film, architecture, music composition, and ceramics, and each student will work with a mentor.
