2025 marks my 50th year as a volunteer with Southern Berkshire Ambulance. My good friend, Ken Schumacher, is celebrating his 49th. Together, we've seen a lot of change. But one thing hasn't: We are there when you need us—24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Henry F. “Sonny” Driscoll Jr., 89, of Sheffield

He worked at GE as a machinist in the transformer division, but his trade was meat cutting and he worked at Adams Supermarket, First National, A&P, Mohegan Market, Millerton Supermarket, Nejaime’s, Aldo’s and Carr Hardware.

Respected sommelier and partner re-open South Egremont Spirit Shoppe

Morrison is particularly excited about creating a community aspect to the store. He also plans to create a tasting and seminar room, where local artists will be invited to show their work.

Preston L. Tinker, 70, of Dalton

Preston worked at many jobs throughout Berkshire County including Nejaime’s, Pete’s Motors, Rising Paper and Kolburne School where he made many friends.
