At Muddy Brook Elementary School the Yolk Project collected more than $2,000 to donate to charities. Its motto: “Free range children changing the world one egg at a time.”
At the Muddy Brook Elementary "Mud Day" there will also, of course, be lots and lots of mud: kids can play muddy tug-o-war, build mud castles, and get all-around messy in a giant mud field.
In order to avoid too big an increase to taxpayers, the school committee has to cut between $400,000 to $600,000 this year. Still, Great Barrington will see an almost 7 percent increase, Stockbridge will see a 9 percent increase, and West Stockbridge, a 3 percent increase.
The online auction is the Muddy Brook PTA’s main fundraiser and supports a wide range of enrichment programming including artist residency programs and field trips.
