As part of the award, Graham will study in New Zealand, joining the Museum and Heritage Practice master's program at Victoria University in Wellington. There she will explore how the museum sector supports education from kindergarten through 12th grade.
What I can speak about with great enthusiasm are two excellent documentaries that were part of the festival but not included in the main slate: one about perhaps the greatest filmmaker of them all, Ingmar Bergman; the other about the extraordinary earliest woman director, Alice Guy-Blache.
The nine-day festival will present 50 world-class independent and international films, plus post-screening question-and-answer sessions with acclaimed artists and special tributes and events.
