The first official week of the season for the new, reimagined Duke Theatre begins next Wednesday, July 16, with performances by Andrew Schneider, and both this summer and the future look very bright indeed for this jewel of a theater.

Though the Gypsy Joynt’s final business day is just over a week away on April 24, Lori Weller said the decision to close was not made lightly. “Everybody has been like extended family here. I feel wrong in a lot of ways on leaving, but I just have to go home. It’s like my wanderlust is over.”
