For parents teaching their children to garden, it is hard to compete with the apps on their tablets and phones, such as “Farmville” and “Grow A Garden,” that grow plants and communities seemingly overnight.
Hoffmann Bird Club President Jonathan Pierce will discuss notable local birds and highlight early-summer bird behavior, as well as opportunities to get out and see birds with the Hoffman Bird Club
Maplefest attendees will be able to visit a working sugar house, observe the finishing and bottling of the final product, try their hands at tapping a tree and gathering sap, and taste homemade syrup on pancakes and “sugar on snow.”
