The event was a big success—collecting almost 50 Christmas trees and other holiday greens and multiple boxes of food donations and $1,700 for the Lee Food Pantry, which serves residents from several communities in the area.

One of the real strengths of River Crossings is its broad range. There are almost thirty artists represented here, and many of them are every bit as intriguing as Sherman, Nozkowski and LeDray.
DeDee helped to start new programs within the Berkshire Hills Regional School District that would not only benefit her son Robert but hundreds of children who would come after him. When she started looking for a program to help her son learn outside of school in a more real-life setting, there was nothing to be found. So together with help from an autism specialist and a special education director they came up with their own and called it “Bridging the Gap.”
As a member of a generation filmmaker Sara Greenberg terms “the last living link to the survivors,” she feels strongly about her responsibility to relate her grandparents’ Holocaust experiences to the world and to future generations. Her film, "B-2247: A Granddaughter’s Understanding," will be shown Sunday, April 12, at the Lenox Town Hall Auditorium.
Flying Cloud educator Kristen Sparhawk says the February vacation activities aim to help kids discover the excitement of learning outdoors in winter: “Last year students built a snow shelter that lasted four weeks and tracked porcupine, otter and coyote. They engineered and tested miniature sleds on a run they built in the field.”

Among the opportunities at the FilmColumbia festival is a screenwriting panel during which audience members are invited to submit a scene from an original screenplay that the panel of actors will read through live.
