The Great Barrington Fire Department would like to remind everyone to remain off the ice. Due to the warm winter it is not safe. If you witness someone fall through the ice please call 911 and wait for rescue personnel to arrive.

Roland was employed as an electrician by Harland B. Foster, Inc. from 1945 until 1980. He continued his career working for out-of-state locals until his retirement.
In his letter to the editor, Terry Flynn of Stockbridge writes: "If the Fire Chief becomes a selectman, every decision regarding the Fire Department, including the placement of articles on the annual warrant, and the reappointment of the Chief, will be made by two people, not three."
