Last year, the event was held outside at Monument Mountain's track. However, four hours into the event, a microburst storm hit the track, destroying the event area. This year, event organizer Ray Gardino told The Berkshire Edge they are not taking any chances and will hold the event indoors.
If all goes according to plan, one of the the tenants will be Area 413 LLC, a newly formed company that aims to sell cannabis-related products in Paul Joffe's renovated church.
“Berkshire Gives: One Day, One County,” a collection drive to gather much-needed food and supplies for area food pantries and shelters that serve the homeless, veterans, people living in poverty, and women and children escaping from abusive relationships.
Chrystal Mahida and her husband, Vijay, who own several hotels in Berkshire County, did not offer a specific timeline for when construction to convert the school would begin, but she wanted to assure the public that plans are proceeding.
