“Increasing these benefits will help make sure seniors, families with children, and other residents can keep their homes warm during the coldest weeks of the year," said Gov. Maura Healey.
In addition to surveying local species, Berkshire BioBlitz will include family events such as bird banding, microscope and specimen set-ups, and a hands-on water filtration activity, as well as interactive walks and conversations that will run throughout the day.
Berkshire BioBlitz is an opportunity for biologists, naturalists and environmentalists to work in collaboration with the general public to survey the Thomas and Palmer Brook.
