Author, and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and Columbia University DeWitt Clinton Professor of History Eric Foner will deliver the 22nd annual W.E.B. Du Bois Lecture at Bard College at Simon’s Rock Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m.
"Remarkable Women of New England" also includes the story of Anna Dix Orton Bingham, the Widow Bingham who fought to become the first woman to have a tavern license in Berkshire County on the site of the present-day Red Lion Inn.
"It is a quite unique to be able to share world-class talent in such a warm, intimate space, a 700-seat theater in a rural community, where you can walk down the hill to get to the theater and then see somebody who has been on some of the world’s best stages."
