The theater group announced it is expanding its offerings this year to include two productions, two “fresh takes” readings, and multiple community engagement programs.
In his letter to the editor, Jim Balfanz writes: “[Cable company proposal ] will result in our local access stations like PCTV, CTSBTV, and probably every other one in the entire country to go off the air.”
Community Television for the Southern Berkshires will produce the show initially, with the goal of having entirely student-run programs in the near future. The hope is to air at least one show per month.
Today there are thousands of choices, from endless cable offerings to streaming services. Yet, on a rainy summer evening, one can spend an eternity trying to find a decent show.
Since taking over Time Warner in 2014, Spectrum has consistently provided less for more. That double-edged practice requires attention from both legislators and the Five Town Advisory Committee.
