MacGregor embarked on a 30-year odyssey throughout the independent school world: as an English teacher, administrator, student advisor and housemaster at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts; and then as an admissions professional and student advisor at the Gunnery in Washington Green, Connecticut; Trinity Pawling School in Pawling, New York; and King’s Academy in Madaba, Jordan.

Leon Sarin, 88, of Great Barrington, teacher of history

His passion for teaching and his dedication to the ideals of American democracy led to active involvement in the community and politics.

William S. Maxwell Montgomery, 94, of Lenox

Max began his professional life as a teacher and athletic coach at Pittsfield High School, then spent 25 years as a coach and teacher at Wellesley (Mass.) High School

Roberta Lucy Wheeler, 90, of Great Barrington, realtor and volunteer with historical society  

Roberta was the 3rd generation of Wheelers to be born on Hollenbeck Avenue, in Great Barrington, the town that has been home to at least seven generations of the Wheeler family.
