“This Prosperity Way project will be the largest affordable-housing home-ownership project in Berkshire County,” said organization Executive Director Carolyn Valli. “It is essential now because people’s rents are so high, and many families are paying more than 50 percent of their income on housing.”
The Great Barrington Fire Department will be installing more smoke and CO detectors throughout town in the near future. Residents who are interested in receiving a free device must have a house built prior to 1975 that does not have hard-wired detectors.
