Political activist Tim Kushi and Lift Every Vote founder Joyce Hackett, under the umbrella of the Berkshire Democratic Brigades, have organized public watch parties for the first Democratic presidential debates of the 2020 campaign season.
At Hevreh of Southern Berkshire the evening will begin with a screening of the short film “Egg Cream” by Nora Claire Miller, Peter Miller and Amy Linton, a bittersweet look at memory, history, and the enduring meaning of the beloved chocolate soda drink born on the Jewish Lower East Side of New York City.
The program will include works by Stravinsky, Lutoslawski, Saariaho and Brahms, and will be preceded by a pre-concert conversation with Stefan Jackiw and Conrad Tao.
