Her passion was music; she played piano and organ since she was 5 years old.

Mary Mazur, 96, of Pittsfield

She was a member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society and certified their longtime home on Williams Street, Pittsfield, with the National Wildlife Association as a wildlife habitat.

Genevieve Powers, 87, of Lenox Dale

She worked at Browns Express from 1950-56, Peter J. Schweitzer from 1956-66, and George VanZandt until 1994 when she retired.

Margaret R. O’Brien, 79, of Lenox

She last worked for the Town of Lenox as the Tax Collector until her retirement in 2005.

Alice Krzynowek Magdalenski, 95, of Housatonic, Massachusetts

Alice retired as vice president in the mortgage department of the Great Barrington Savings, the first female to hold a senior position in the 100-year history of the bank.
