Stewart Keith Dupuis, 62, suffered “serious injuries,” as he attempted to cross South Main Street in the vicinity of East Mountain Medical Center — near a crosswalk with a pedestrian light — at around 7:30 pm.
A fine young gentleman from Housatonic, Garrett Norton, 21, died tragically in an automobile accident. Worse still is the coverage of the accident by the local newspaper. During a snowstorm, the driver was backing out of a driveway at her workplace at 220 North Plain Road. While waiting to pull out of the driveway onto Route 41, her car was struck by a Housatonic Railroad Company freight train heading south.
