Susan F. Holcomb, 77, of Housatonic

Susan’s family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date.

Susan F. Holcomb, 77, of Housatonic, died Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family and her cats, Lily and Jasper.

Susan was born in Great Barrington on November 4, 1947, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Pellegrini) Simonelli. She was a graduate of the former Searles High School. She worked at Pioneer Credit and Whitaker Auto Sales and was a secretary in the tax office and town clerk’s office for the Town of Great Barrington and Goodwill.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, and her cats.

Susan is survived by her husband Edwin Holcomb of Housatonic; her son Victor Holcomb and his wife Cara of Housatonic; her daughter Stephanie Holcomb of Sheffield; two brothers, Paul Simonelli of Housatonic and David Simonelli of Virginia Beach, Va.; and her three grandchildren, Anabella Rivera, Austin Holcomb, and Brendan Holcomb.

Susan’s family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230. Private burial will be at a later date. Condolences may be made through the funeral home’s website.

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.

There will be a service held on Wednesday, May 14, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Roche Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m.
