Stockbridge — A special election for a vacant Select Board seat has been set for Tuesday, Aug. 26.
The special election was set by the remaining members of the Select Board at a special meeting on Friday, June 13.
The vacancy was created after Patrick White controversially resigned on June 10.
At a June 5 Select Board meeting, White walked out after a reorganization vote where he was not chosen as the Select Board Chair.
According to Select Board Chair Jamie Minacci, nomination papers are available at Town Hall.
She said the last day to obtain nomination papers is Thursday, July 3, and the last day to submit nomination papers is Tuesday, July 8.
