Steven Barkley Hinman, 64, of Lenox

Steven Barkley Hinman, 64, of Lenox died at his home on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Born on September 12, 1959, in Pittsfield, to the late John and Anne Murphy Hinman, Steve attended local schools. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1982.

Steve worked as a mechanic for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, District 1. He was an avid Keno player, a huge Jeopardy fan, and enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was under the hood of his latest project or spending time with friends.

Mr. Hinman is survived by his brother Kenneth G. Hinman and wife Ginger of Pittsfield; his brother Paul S. Hinman and wife Amanda of San Diego; his sister-in-law Deann Hinman; and four nieces, Marcella, Ashleigh, Paige, and Peyton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Mark Hinman.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240. Service and burial will be private.
