Some New Yorkers love racing at Lime Rock Park

I moved from Long Island to Lime Rock to live directly across the street from my beloved auto racing sport.

To the editor:

I am a “New Yorker.” I am a neighbor of my cherished Lime Rock Park. I did NOT “Win” a thing in the recent Court ruling against Sunday racing in Lime Rock Park. I lost.

I moved from Long Island to Lime Rock to live directly across the street from my beloved auto racing sport. I am a new New Yorker who opened up a small business directly opposite Lime Rock Park because of Lime Rock Park. I employ my neighbors at my small local B and B here in Lime Rock.

Two of my dear friends and neighbors here in Lime Rock, are New Yorkers. They, too, chose to move to Lime Rock because they are auto racing enthusiasts.

The extremely insensitive, rude, and vulgar assumption that New Yorkers are opposed to auto racing is inflammatory, derogatory, and extremely divisive. We are locals. We are here to stay. And we embrace Lime Rock Park with all our hearts.
