Shirley Dewkett Drumm, 71, of Great Barrington and Lenoxdale

Mrs. Drumm was employed for many years at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and Kmart, both in Great Barrington.

Shirley Dewkett Drumm, 71, passed away on July 7, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a short illness.

Shirley was born in Great Barrington, Mass., on August 14, 1943.

Mrs. Drumm was employed for many years at Bard College at Simon’s Rock and Kmart, both in Great Barrington.

Shirley is survived by her three children, daughter Brenda Raftery, son Richard Drumm Jr. and wife Kellie and daughter Kelly Johnson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard Drumm Sr. in 2001. The couple was married in 1964. She was also predeceased by her brothers David and Jene Dewkett.

The funeral for Shirley Dewkett Drumm will be held on Tuesday., July 14 at 10 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Rev. Belle Fox-Martin. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Great Barrington.

Thomas F. ‘Walt’ Palivoda, 72, of Housatonic

Walt’s family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a funeral service officiated by Deacon Ed Shaw at Birches-Roy Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Wyantenuck Country Club. Private burial will be at a later date.
