Sean T. Storti, 40, of New Marlborough

Sean graduated from Mount Everett Regional High School, class of 1992, after which he went on to art school in Maine and attended classes at Berkshire Community College. Sean was an extremely talented artist.

Sean Trevor Storti, 40, of Hartsville-New Marlborough Road passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born in Great Barrington on September 10, 1974 he was the son of Louis “Joe” Storti Jr. and Diane “Didi” Salzmann Storti. He graduated from Mt. Everett Regional High School, class of 1992, after which he went on to art school in Maine and attended classes at Berkshire Community College.

Sean was an extremely talented artist. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed watching movies. But above all else he cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.

Along with parents, Joe and Didi Storti, Sean is survived by his brother, Colin Storti; his sisters Tricia Storti and Cara Ripley and husband DJ; his step grandfather Denis O’Connor; his aunts and uncles Chrissa and Roy Gallant, Keith Salzmann, Pia and Dave Madow and Mike and Erin Salzmann. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Maeve, Kieran, Jenny, Danika, Regan, Trevor and Alara as well as several cousins.

He was predeceased by his cousin Gary Warfield.

A service celebrating Sean’s life will be held on Monday, February 16th at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Rev. Charles VanAusdall. Burial will be in the spring.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Maureen Johnson Hickey (1938-2025) at the Berkshire Botanical Gardens in Stockbridge on Saturday, June 28th from 1:00-3:00pm.

Howard Trombley, 77, formerly of Great Barrington

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 26 from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at The First Congregational Church, 251 Main St., Great Barrington. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Great Barrington.

Janet C. Hutchinson, 80, of South Egremont

A celebration of Jan’s life will take place Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 3 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting of South Berkshire. All are welcome to join in celebrating Jan’s life, followed by a reception.
