Sandra Lee Turner, 78, died Wednesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on October 17, 1946, the daughter of Charles Edward and Helen Catherine Derby Munsinger, she attended Lenox Schools and was a 1964 graduate of Lenox High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Sandy worked briefly for Berkshire Life Insurance Company prior to her marriage. She and her husband Richard Earl Turner were married June 29, 1968. Mr. Turner died December 24, 2017.
Sandy was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a member of their Lee congregation.
Sandy is survived by her children, Stacy Lee Martin of Buchanan, Mich., Michelle Lynn Turner of Lenox, Sean Richard Turner of North Adams, Robert Earl Turner (Dawn) of Pittsfield, and Jolene Marie Bull (Steve) of Lee; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her siblings, Elizabeth Roosa of Columbus, Ohio, Frederick Munsinger of New Lebanon, N.Y., Linda J. Vancini of Enfield, Conn., and William Munsinger of Franklin, N.C. She was pre-deceased by her brother Edward Munsinger.
A memorial service will take place at the Lee Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 945 Pleasant St., Lee, Mass., on November 24, at 2 p.m., in person and via Zoom. There will be no graveside service. Memorial donations in Sandy’s memory may be made to the Lee Library or the Berkshire Humane Society, both in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
