Rosemarie Ann Hils.

Rose’s family always came first; she was full of love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of her days. Rose especially enjoyed the annual family vacation to Lake George, N.Y. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Linda Smith (George) and Lisa Balestro (Kevin); her son Clement Hils Jr. (Laurie); her grandchildren, Courtney Pace (Roger), Jenna Hitchcock (Jarrod Johnson), Mathias Hitchcock II (Elaina), Sarah Balestro (Robert Govoni), Clement Hils III, Tyler Hils (Haley), and Hunter Hils (Brianna Pothul); 11 great-grandchildren, Alex, Josephine, Olivia, Makayla, Abigail, Madison, Hank, Lexus, McKenzie, Bradley, and Sierra; and her brother Richard Pautot.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Clement Hils Sr.; her parents, Rene Pautot and Josephine Morandi Pautot; two great-grandchildren, Mathias ‘Bubby’ Hitchcock III and Jordan Beckham; and her brother Robert Pautot.

Heartfelt appreciation and thanks go out to the staff of Egan Hospice, above all Monica Hevessy for her exceptional care. Donations can be made to The Hospice Promise Foundation directly or in care of the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
