Roseina M. Emprimo, 82 of Great Barrington died Sunday March 15, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in the village of New Marlborough on March 23, 1932 daughter to John and Anna (Finkle) Emprimo. Roseina was a graduate of the former New Marlborough High School class of 1949.

After school she worked for over 20 years at W.T Grant Department Store until it closed in 1976. After that she worked for Kmart for 32 years before retiring in 2012. Roseina bowled in the Wildcat Bowling League and was a treasurer of the league for more than 20 years; she also enjoyed playing cards, soap operas, vacationing in Myrtle Beach and helping at the annual Bazaar at Corpus Christi/ Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Housatonic.

Roseina is survived by beloved sister Belle Piontek with whom she lived, god child and care giver Anna Amy Piontek, niece Carol Piontek, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews. Roseina was predeceased by sister Ethel Sterling, nephews George Piontek, Edward Sterling and William Sterling and niece Dorothy Lukas.

Funeral services for Roseina M. Emprimo who died March 15, will be held on Friday March 20 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Corpus Christi Church, Housatonic, with the Rev. William P. Murphy pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Center Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday March 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Roseina’s memory may be made to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Corpus Christi Church or Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home at 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA. 01230.
