Rose Marie Girdler, 89, of West Stockbridge

She was a graduate of the former Williams High School.

Rose Marie Girdler, 89, of West Stockbridge died Wednesday August 22, 2018 at her home. Rose was born in West Stockbridge on February 24, 1929 daughter of Tarcisio B. and Diletta C. (Dus) Marzotto. She was a graduate of the former Williams High School. Rose enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, puzzles and loved making crafts and spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by daughter Patricia A. Barry (James) of Belchertown, Mass., daughter Ruby J. Korte (John) of West Stockbridge, son Glenn J. Girdler of West Stockbridge, daughter Nancy J. Morandi (Joe) of Alford, son Barry J. Girdler (Jeanne) of West Stockbridge, sister-in-law Mary Mazotto of West Stockbridge, sister- in-law Suzie Walls (Tim) of Pennsylvania, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by daughter, Gail M. Girdler, brother Francis Marzotto, sister Irene Skorput (Tony) and former husband Charles N. Girdler Jr.

Funeral Services for Rose Marie Girdler will be held on Monday, August 27 at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Church in West Stockbridge with Monsignor John Bonzagni officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 27 from 9:15 a.m.  to 10:15 a.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Rose’s memory may be made to Hospice of Western and Central MA in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be made through birchesroyfuneralservices.com.
