Roger J. Cole, 52, of Lee

Roger was a fun-loving person, willing to help anyone. He was a self-employed landscaper and took pride in his ability to create beautiful stone walls, patios, and walkways.

Roger J. Cole, 52, of Lee passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Born on September 14, 1968, in Pittsfield, to John W. and Shirley A. Thibodeau Cole, he grew up in Lenoxdale, attended Lenox Memorial High School, and was a 1986 graduate.

Roger was a self-employed landscaper. He took pride in his ability to create beautiful stone walls, patios, and walkways. He was a fun-loving person, willing to help anyone, and loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Roger is survived by his siblings Alan Cole of Lenox, Robert Cole and his wife Pam of East Chatham, New York, Kathleen Townsend and her fiancé Mark Lamagdeleine of Westfield, Linda Carroll and her husband Christopher of Lenox, and Michael Cole and his wife Shelly of Weatague, Connecticut.  Roger also leaves behind his nieces and nephews William and Joseph Carroll, Evan and Katharine Cole, and Paula Davis.

Roger was predeceased by his parents John and Shirley Cole and brother in-law Jesse Townsend.

The funeral for Mr. Roger J. Cole will be held Monday, March 22, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s memory may be made to The People’s Pantry in care of the funeral home.
