Robert K. Fredsall, 65, of Sandisfield, died Thursday June 9, 2016 at his home. Robert was born on May 7, 1951 in Torrington, Conn., son of Frederick F. and Marjorie (Karl) Fredsall. He was a graduate from the Oliver Wolcott Technical High School.
After high school Robert proudly served his country during Vietnam with the United States Army. Robert worked as a machinist at Old Castle doing welding and fabricating. Robert also owned and ran Berkshire Crane Service from November of 1988 until 2011.
He was a member of the Northwest Connecticut Sportsman’s Association and enjoyed shooting sports, the outdoors, photography and spending time with his sons, grandchildren, and his great grandson, Jon. Enjoying a good laugh, he always had a joke to share with his friends.
Robert is survived by his wife who resides in Sandisfield; two sons, Karl Fredsall and wife Kirsten of Great Barrington and Nick Fredsall and girlfriend Elinor Beane of West Stockbridge; one sister, Christine DeVries; three brothers, Bill Fredsall, Ed Fredsall and Tom Fredsall; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Erik, Abby, Lily and Kaylin; and one great grandson, Jonathan.
A memorial service for Robert K. Fredsall will be held on Saturday July 9th at 11 a.m., at the Sandisfield Cemetery.
