Robert J. Coffey, 73, of Lee

A talented carpenter, Bob worked for various contractors over the years and was employed with Anthony Murad Construction at the time of his retirement several years ago.

Robert J. Coffey, 73, of Lee, died Monday at his home.

Born in Pittsfield February 23, 1949, the son of Joseph P. and Margaret Cannon Coffey, he attended local schools and was a 1967 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

A talented carpenter, Bob worked for various contractors over the years and was employed with Anthony Murad Construction at the time of his retirement several years ago.

Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved photography and racing his RC car throughout the state of New York.

He is survived by his sons: Darren M. Coffey of Becket; and Joseph C. Coffey, his wife Leanne, and their two children Hayes and Olive, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He is also survived by Trevor Pixley of Canaan, New York, whom he called his “fourth son.”

Bob was predeceased by his son Shane J. Coffey on August 25, 2021, and by his sister Barbara Villanova in 2014.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, services will be private. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
