Robert F. ‘Bob’ Keefner, 56, of Nassau, N.Y.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. "Bob" Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Robert F. “Bob” Keefner, 56, of Nassau, N.Y., died Friday, May 16, 2025, at Saint Peter’s Hospital in Albany. He was born in Pittsfield on June 12, 1968, son of the late August and Peggy Ann (Finkle) Keefner.

Bob was educated in local schools and worked for many years as a paper maker for Mohawk Paper Co. in Cohoes, N.Y. He was a member of STAR (Senior Tour Auto Racing) and the Nassau Volunteer Ambulance and loved cars, camping, motorcycle rides, and working with his dogs and chickens. Bob was very quick with his mind and was always able to come up with ways to fix whatever he was working on.

Bob is survived by his wife Kimberly (Bush) Keefner of Nassau, N.Y.; his two brothers, Joseph Keefner and wife Bridgit of Housatonic and Benjamin Keefner of Housatonic; his twin sister Shirley Lentz of Nassau, N.Y.; and multiple nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. “Bob” Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 22, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Bob’s memory may be made to the Nassau Volunteer Ambulance in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be made through the funeral home’s website.

A memorial service for Lynn will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 11 a.m., at the Christian Assembly in Pittsfield. There will be no calling hours, and burial will be private.

Marie Weatherhead, 90, of Lenox

A memorial service is planned at Roche Funeral Home in Lenox on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Mazzeo's Ristorante in Pittsfield.
