Robert Arthur Duryea, 74, of Albuquerque, N.M.

Robert Arthur Duryea, Ph.D., of Albuquerque, N.M., passed away peacefully in his home on October 3, 2025. Born in South Egremont on February 13, 1951, to Theodore and June Duryea, he was a kind, curious, and caring young man.

Robert retired as a colonel after 25 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. During this time, he was a caring mentor to many, and he lead with integrity and concern for those in his command.

A devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie; his sons, Andrew (Mara) and Ryan (Jen); and by four beloved grandchildren, Josephine and Doren, and Max and Sam; and his sister Ruth Ostrom. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William.
