Richie Debkowski, 47, of Great Barrington, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home. Richie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on August 4, 1968, son to Stanley Sr. and Mary (Galas) Debkowski.
Richie moved to Housatonic in 1974 and was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School class of 1982. He worked as a stocker for Price Chopper. Richie was a former altar boy and communicant of the former All Saints Church and a member of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Parish Corpus Christi Church. He also enjoyed fishing and canoeing.
Richie is survived by his parents, Stanley Sr. and Mary (Galas) Debkowski of Housatonic; his maternal grandmother, Anna Galas of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Stanley Debkowski Jr. of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Elizabeth Austin and her husband Daryl of Great Barrington; four nephews, Nathan, Kyle, Christian and Noah; two nieces, Kya and Kara, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services for Richie Debkowski who died October 9 will be held on Saturday October, 17 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Parish Corpus Christi Church con celebrated by with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor, principle celebrant. There are no calling hours.
