Richard Scott Burow, 66, of Stockbridge

Richard enjoyed traveling, especially to France (and Paris, in particular), which he visited often, as well as Spain, where he became a dedicated fan of the Real Madrid soccer team.

Richard Scott Burow, 66, of Main Street passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home in Stockbridge where he had lived since 1993.

Born March 23, 1949 in Newton, Mass., he was the son of Richard E. Burow and the late Barbara Duston Burow. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the American University in Washington, D.C., and his Law Degree from the University of Miami Law School.

Mr. Burow worked for the 1st American Title Insurance Company and Monarch Title of Virginia in Washington, D.C., from which he retired in 2005.

Richard loved his home in Stockbridge which he shared with his two beloved cats. He enjoyed traveling, especially to France (and Paris, in particular), which he visited often, as well as Spain, where he became a dedicated fan of the Real Madrid soccer team. He loved to play ice hockey, to ski and to attend Tour tennis matches. He greatly enjoyed fine wine and fine dining, and the company of his many friends.

He is survived by Richard E. Burow and his wife Chris, his brother Michael Burow and his wife Sandra; his sisters Lynn Malinowski and husband Paul, and Lisa Bernthal and husband Russ; as well as his childhood friend and caregiver, Richard Needelman.

In accordance with his wishes services will be private.

The funeral will take place at Dewey Hall in Sheffield on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed immediately by internment at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington. A livestream of the funeral service will be available.

A graveside service will be scheduled in the spring.

Robert Alvin White Jr., 78, of Lenox

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Beacon Center in Madison, Wis., where his niece Sara dedicated her time to supporting the unhoused; the Sara Marie White Memorial Epilepsy Scholarship; or the restoration of the Lenox Meeting house.
