Richard P. ‘Rick’ Iemolini, 74, of Stockbridge

Funeral services for Richard P. Iemolini will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church in Stockbridge, with Fr. Matthew Guidi officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home

Richard P. “Rick” Iemolini, 74, of 10 Quiet Knoll Road, Stockbridge, died after a long, hard-fought battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pittsfield on March 10, 1951, the son of Julius and Anne (Ruesch) Iemolini.

Rick attended the former Williams High School and was a member of the first graduating class from Monument Mountain Regional High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in education. After graduating, he worked for his father’s painting business and took it over in 1981.

Rick was one of the premier golfers in Berkshire County. He was a member of Stockbridge Golf Club for 58 years, where he started as a caddie at 11 years old. Throughout his golfing career, he won numerous tournaments; most notably, he was a 19-time Club Champion. In 2025, he was inducted into the Berkshire County Allied Golf Hall of Fame. Rick also continued to mentor young golfers by coaching the Monument Mountain Golf Team for four years.

Rick is survived by his wife Teresa (Kradel) Iemolini of Stockbridge; his son Matthew Iemolini and his wife Elizabeth of Great Barrington; his brother Lawrence Iemolini and his wife Annette of Sheffield; his three sisters, Christine Congdon and her husband Richard of Great Barrington, Gail Heady and her husband Merritt of Great Barrington, and Linda Jennings and her husband Craig of New Hampshire; his brother-in-law Mickey Kradel and his wife Amy of North Carolina; his sister-in-law Karen Kradel and her husband Chuck Kohrer of Stockbridge; and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and -nephews.

Rick was known as a devoted husband, father, and friend and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone he met.

Rick met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. He valued the sacredness of time, often saying, “You only get one life, you have to live it to its fullest.”

Funeral services for Richard P. Iemolini will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church in Stockbridge, with Fr. Matthew Guidi officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Rick’s name may be made to either HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Berkshire County Allied Golf Association Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be made through the funeral home’s website.
