Richard B. Jamieson, 67, of Ashley Falls, passed away doing what he loved on March 10, 2025. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on November 5, 1957. He slowly migrated to Ashley Falls and planted his roots in the mid-1970s.

Throughout his life, Rick’s passion for cars and helping others sculpted his future as the owner/operator of Rick Jamieson Auto Repair; an avid drag racer; and, most importantly to him, a loving and supportive husband, father, and friend. Though he showed his competitive side on the racetrack, Rick never put himself first with his family, friends, or even strangers. He would always go out of his way to lend a hand or, more importantly, share a piece of knowledge that he had collected from his work, experiences, and projects. Rick was truly one of a kind; he lived life on his own terms.
He is survived by his wife Lisa M. Jamieson; his four sons, Richard Jamieson Jr., Neil Jamieson and wife Aimee Jamieson, Max Jamieson, and Alex Jamieson; his grandchildren, Brendan Jamieson, Jordyn Jamieson, and Jade Jamieson; and his great-granddaughter Adelynn Brant. He was pre-deceased by his mother Marilyn Barney-Lamoreaux, his stepfather Archie Barney, and his father Richard Jamieson.
In lieu of flowers, take some time from your day or week to help someone in need, call a friend just to say hi, buy someone a coffee, tell a joke, or chase a friend out the door when they leave just to ask them one more question. That’s what Rick would do.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Jamieson residence on March 30, from 1 to 5 p.m. To send remembrances to his family, please visit the website of Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home.
