Renzo Del Molino, 72, of Great Barrington

Services will take place at a later time; in the meantime, go to a protest or lay a stone.

Renzo Del Molino, born 1952 in Postalesio, Italy, passed away in his Great Barrington home after a brief battle with cancer. He was a father, grandfather, husband, educator, and mason.

Renzo traveled the world, raised a family, and built with his hands. He had the rare quality of being both the strongest and gentlest person in a room. He wasn’t shy about sharing a strong, often uncompromising set of convictions that were rooted in love, diversity, and human rights. Berkshire County is punctuated by his work, walls, patios, veneered foundations and chimneys, all fieldstone, which will outlive us all. His work, activism, and humor left an indelible mark on the community.

Per Renzo’s wishes, he donated his body to medical science, and as such the family has not yet received his remains. Services will take place at a later time; in the meantime, go to a protest or lay a stone.
