Rene Wood’s leadership would benefit Sheffield

In a letter to the editor, Benno Friedman writes, "...her combination of reason and vision will provide exceptional leadership for our town."

To the Editor:

On election day, May 14th, I urge all Sheffield residents to vote for Rene Wood for selectman. Six years as selectman, six years on our planning board, three years on the board of health and 15 years on the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission; she has and will continue to be an outstanding public servant.

I’ve known her to successfully navigate factionalism, and experienced her ability to build bridges between competing interests within our town and on our boards. Her’s has been a calming presence during times when passions were inflamed and reason often abandoned, a trait currently in short supply. In short, her combination of reason and vision will provide exceptional leadership for our town. Please support her with your vote on May 14th.

Benno Friedman
Sheffield, Mass.
