Weather Alert: Record low high temperatures for the Berkshires

The cool temperature was coupled with lots of rain.

For the second straight day, another record cold high temperature set: a high reading of only 49 degrees smashing the old mark of 55 set back in 2001.

The cool temperature was coupled with lots of rain. Nearly an inch of rain fell in the last 24 hours and that brings our total to nearly 3 inches since this past Wednesday.

This Memorial Day weekend was reminiscent of another very wet Memorial Day weekend of 1984 when over 7 inches of rain fell and my daughter who was in the middle school band had to march in parades and had to stop to pour water out of her clarinet

Take heart, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
