How is this property related to the Col. John Ashely house, which is just down the street on Copper Hill Rd? Was there another John Ashely who was a General?

  2. dennis irvine says:

    It was his son-

Major General John Ashley, only son of Col. John Ashley, born Sept. 26, 1736. He was graduated with honors at Yale in 1756.
