What’s the most compelling thing about this property?
The home does not have a huge piece of land to maintain, and has no particular land to look out upon, but it is its connection to Lenox village that gives the home a special appeal. There aren’t many private dwellings of this size in town. Your friends and family will luxuriate in the spaces, which bring both proximity and privacy to all who live or stay there. If someone wants to hide, they can hide!
For whom is this house perfect?
This warm house will be a great gathering place for a large family, extended family, or a weekender ‘super host’ with tons of friends to be graciously and sumptuously entertained in the center of one of the nicest towns in the country. The modest, but stately exterior hides treasures inside. There are six large, beautiful and very well proportioned bedrooms, five of which boast an en suite full bath. The main master bedroom is on the first floor. You will gasp when you see the ample bedroom spaces. The sixth bedroom owns a full bath just five feet down the hall. There is a large common area with vaulted ceiling and skylights and a formal dining room with a wood burning fireplace and a large bay window. Outside the main room is a large, private deck and lower patio space offering more places for family or guests to lounge and/or interact. The home has two laundry rooms and closet space so large they could almost double as extra rooms, providing loads of space for your wardrobe. Downstairs is one more bedroom and a space which could be used for a gym or exercise room. There is a nice, very practical kitchen with granite countertops ample cupboards and the proper sort of stainless steel, upscale appliances (Sub-Zero) to help you with your food prep and storage. There is a large food storage room in the basement that any restauranteur would envy.

In Lenox you will be just several minutes drive to Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Company, the new year-round Tanglewood Linde Center For The Performing Arts and just several minutes more to Kennedy Park, with its natural woodlands and numerous hiking trails. If this house could talk, what secret would it tell about its history?
This house has been a refuge for many guests and family members throughout its relatively short history. It was built between 2001 and 2004 to replace the original home, which had been built in 1956. The materials and workmanship is all top notch and done with a real attentiveness to what the dwellers might want to find. In short, a large group could comfortably live or stay with nobody ever getting in anyone else’s way.
