PREVIEW: Berkshires Jazz and Mill Town Foundation present the annual Fall Jazz Sprawl, Oct. 7 through 13

This year's Fall Jazz Sprawl features the George Schuller Trio, the Tarik Shah Trio, the Paul Ostermayer Quartet, the Lucky 5, Samirah Evans, Wanda Houston, and Grace Kelly.

Pittsfield — Berkshires Jazz presents its second annual Fall Jazz Sprawl, seven days of free and ticketed jazz music events, from Monday, October 6, through Sunday, October 13. The week concludes with a performance on Sunday by the Grace Kelly Quartet backed by an 11-piece string section augmented by the Kids 4 Harmony advanced ensemble. Grace will perform music from her latest CD, “Grace Kelly with Strings: At The Movies.” Most of the week’s events are free, thanks to local sponsorship.

Here is the latest schedule, which is subject to change:

  • Monday, Oct. 7, George Schuller Trio.
    Methuselah, 391 North St., Pittsfield: 7-10 p.m. Free admission.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 8, Tarik Shah Trio.
    St. Stephen’s Church, 67 East St., Pittsfield: Community concert, 4:30-6:00 p.m. Free admission.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 8, The Paul Ostermayer Quartet.
    Tito’s, 34 Depot St., Pittsfield. 5:30-8:30 p.m. Free admission.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 9, The Paul Ostermayer Quartet.
    The Lion’s Den, 30 Main St., Stockbridge: 7-10 p.m. $10 music charge.
  • Thursday, Oct. 10, The Lucky 5.
    Dottie’s.444 North St., Pittsfield. Dinner at 6 p.m., music at 7 p.m. Free admission. More information here.
  • Friday, Oct. 11, Samirah Evans and a tribute to Billie Holiday.
    The Colonial Theatre, 111 South St., Pittsfield. 7:30 p.m.
