What’s the most compelling thing about this property?
This home truly commands some of the best views in the Hudson Valley. One feels on top of the world here, with glorious views from every window in the house, back and front.
For whom is this house perfect?
This property would really appeal to folks looking for an escape from the city, as either a weekend or a full-time retreat. It is very spacious, and would be great for a family with kids, as downstairs there is a huge media room/family space with extra kitchen. Parents can retreat to the first floor where there is a large master suite.
What’s the most fun thing to do within five miles of this house?
The coolest thing to do is to walk right down the driveway to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, which runs from Wassaic to Chatham. Here is a link to the map. Very close by as well is great organic shopping at Random Harvest in Craryville.
If this house could talk, what secret would it tell about its history?
It’s not that old, built by the current owners in 2003, but they have had a wonderful time there raising their family and perfecting the property. The owners designed the house to accommodate a large family and, of course, to let the views rule!
