PITTSFIELD — The Police Department is searching for a suspect in a reported shooting incident that took place on Friday, Jan. 27.
According to a press release issued by Lieutenant John Soules, officers from the department responded to Zen’s Pub at 303 Tyler Street at around 10:30 p.m.
The officers were responding to a disturbance involving multiple individuals.
Lieutenant Soules wrote in the press release that there was a report that one of the individuals involved in the incident had fired a round from a gun.
Officers who responded to the incident located blood at the scene and found a firearm a short distance away.
The department later learned that an adult male resident was at the Berkshire Medical Center with a single gunshot wound.
The wound is not considered to be life-threatening.
The department has not released any further details about the incident at this time.
