Pittsfield resident pleads guilty to kidnapping and other charges

Glen Chadwell, 52, plead guilty and subsequently sentenced on three charges related to a 2019 kidnapping.

Pittsfield — On Monday, June 16, resident Glen Chadwell, 52, plead guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on three charges related to a 2019 kidnapping.
According to Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, Chadwell was involved with a second individual in a kidnapping in August 2019.
Sabourin wrote in a press release that Chadwell and the second individual, who has not been identified, pulled the victim into their car as the victim was walking home from Berkshire Medical Center.
Chadwell and the individual both assaulted the victim, but she was able to escape and found help nearby.
According to Sabourin, Chadwell was sentenced to 2.5 years in the House of Corrections on one count of Kidnapping.
He was also sentenced to 2.5 years each in the House of Corrections on two counts of Indecent Assault and Battery over 14.
The two charges for Indecent Assault and Battery over 14 are to be served concurrently.
