Pittsfield resident arrested in stabbing case

Pittsfield —  The city’s Police Department has arrested resident Jacob Frusciente, 32, as a suspect in a stabbing case.

According to a press release issued by Lt. John Soules on Monday, December 16, Frusciente has been charged with one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury.

According to Lt. Soules, the incident took place on December 11 at a residence on Harvard Street. An investigation revealed that two adults, a male and a female, had sustained stab wounds in the incident. Both adults, who are Pittsfield residents, were treated at Berkshire Medical Center for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Frusciente was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on December 12.
