Pillow Pride returns at Jacob’s Pillow

Jacob's Pillow announces annual Pride event "Pillow Pride" for August 6th.

Lenox — After a hiatus for three years due to the pandemic, Jacob’s Pillow will have its annual Pride Night, “Pillow Pride”, on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10 p.m.

The event is described by organizers as being a “LGBTQIA+ centric celebration” with music by New York City based DJ Adair and performances by drag artists The Dragon Sisters.

“Of course, Pride Month is in June, but one month of the year does not have to be delegated as Pride Month,” organization associate curator Ali Rosa-Salas said. “Many of the artists that Jacob’s Pillow supports and work with identifies themselves as LGBTQIA+, and we recognize the role that the arts have in creating an inclusive and dynamic role that we want to live in.”

Rosa-Salas said that Pride Night is an opportunity for the organization to celebrate diversity and inclusion. “We want an opportunity for all of us to get together socially,” Rosa-Salas said. “We really are looking forward to this because this event has been popular in the past. It is great to bring it back again.”

Admission to the event is $25. For more information go to the event’s website.
