The third annual Berkshire Pride Festival took place at the Commons in Pittsfield on Saturday, June 15, from noon to 5:00pm. On a beautiful sunny day, some 1,000 spectators sat on the lawn and watched the parade of costumed performers.  A line-up of 30 to 40 booths, all supportive of the goals of the festival, offered clothing, crafts, free blood pressure tests, free “Mom hugs,” brochures about local theaters and cultural institutions, and information about gay and transgender lifestyles.  The mood of the festival was festive, indeed. Photographer Lear Levin has provided this photo essay to capture both the spirit and the activities of the day.

Terrific coverage of a colorful event by seasoned photographer Lear Levin.

Why do we all need to see this perversion? Not very good taste.

  3. Stephen Cohen says:

The photos are terrific! W.C.’s comment is in bad taste.

  4. SH says:

I love the colors, but I would suggest getting a variety of angles like medium shots and wide shots. It’ll add more depth to the story.
