Peter Ostrander, 45, of Dalton

Peter enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. He loved spending time hiking in the woods and looking for mushrooms.

Peter F. Ostrander 45, of Dalton passed away on Saturday, March 25. He was born in Pittsfield on October 16, 1971, the son of Richard Ostrander and Joan Crawford Weeden. He was educated in Lee schools and had been self-employed for the past few years.

Peter enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. He loved spending time hiking in the woods and looking for mushrooms. He liked to spend time going to flea markets and tag sales on the weekends. He was always there for his friends and willing to help in any way he could. Peter was an honest and loyal friend and loved by everyone who met him.

Peter is survived by his mother, Joan Crawford Weeden, of Lee; his son, Peter J.T. Ostrander, and his mother, Lisa Cardillo, and the Cardillo family; his ex-wife, Tracy Reynolds; his closest friends Patrick Vincent, Deanna Siwek-Vincent, Austin and Ashley Vincent; and his loves Kirsten Huff and his little Averie Rennie who called him Papa Peter. Peter was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ostrander, and his brother, Richie Ostrander.

Calling hours will be Monday, April 3, at Kelly Funeral Home in Lee from noon to 3 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at Bogies Restaurant in Great Barrington from 6 to 8 p.m. that night.

The funeral service for Mary Lou Barnum will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at the Church on the Hill in Lenox, with Rev. Liz Goodman officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Roche Funeral Home.

Per Ronald’s wishes, all services will be private.
